Designs By Nature

Nature has a way of making us slow down and appreciate life. Different seasons bring many different colors and smells that energize the human body and make us want to enjoy life and what it has to offer. People have grown accustomed to taking these things for granted. For most of us, it’s not by choice but by responsibilities that need to be fulfilled to others and ourselves.

The world has integrated a way of helping us to still be able to enjoy nature, by bringing designs that are inspired by nature into our lives. Most things that we buy in our daily lives are things that are necessities while other ones are things that make us feel good. When seeing a seashell necklace or bracelet, for example, makes you think of your trip to the beach. You automatically smile while you think of the time that you spent on the beach. There are many nature-inspired designs that will make us feel this way.

Clothing that has rainbows, flowers or sceneries on them can make your day brighter. Driftwood, found in a gift store that has been carved into a wooden decor piece will make you think of the waves that washed it ashore. Waves of an ocean can be seen when you look at different types of furniture and lights for your home. Round smooth edges that seem endless and go up and down in different heights will make you feel like you are in the ocean with the waves. Pillows that look like unusually shaped clouds make you feel like floating. Although there are many designs of nature that we see everyday, there are still a few that we don’t.

Designs created by scientists and engineers may also have a touch of nature in them. Solar panes, for example, will imitate sunflowers by following the sunlight. Solar panels can store energy in our homes to reduce the amount of artificial energy that is used. Planes and trains also have been designed with characteristics that reflect nature. Many planes have been designed to imitate birds when flying. Some trains have been built to mimic bullets, for speed.

In most part, we are getting smarter when it comes to integrating things from nature into our everyday lives. It has made our nation a more eco-friendly place to live while helping us to enjoy a little bit of nature.
